DVM

Lisa D. Whitney

Lisa D. Whitney, DVM has been a practicing veterinarian for 25 years and the owner of the Danville Animal Hospital for 17 years. She is a graduate of Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine then went on to obtain certification in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. A lifelong learner, she is currently working on a master’s degree in veterinary forensics. Dr. Whitney chose to relocate to Vermont as an ideal place to raise her family. The charms of the NEK have won her over, and though her kids are mostly grown, she considers this corner of the world home. It has been her privilege to serve the community by supporting the bond between people and their pets through thoughtful medicine tailored to each unique situation. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Whitney has a myriad of interests including gardening, mountain biking, hiking with her dogs, and learning the art of horsemanship working with her extra special, tiny mule.
